As a HSE Coordinator, you are accountable for:
- Supporting ongoing Certification to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in conjunction with the HSE Manager.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to address HSE risks, ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and appropriate controls are developed, implemented and maintained. These requirements encompass the development of project-specific HSE risk registers and the review of Thales and contractor safe work method statements for high risk work.
- Completing site and Group HSE reporting and attending relevant meetings with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timeliness of reports and accuracy of HSE data and information.
- Coordinating the review and update of HSE documentation including instructions and safe operating procedures.
- Supporting work areas with completing the necessary checks and risk assessments prior to implementing changes that may have an impact on HSE
- Assisting with emergency preparedness and planning for the site, including coordinating emergency evacuations of buildings and vessels.
- Facilitating the maintenance of work place health, safety and environmental equipment.
- Conducting HSE inspection and audit of work place activities, contractors and suppliers, and conducting scheduled work area inspections with customer representatives.
- Analysing trends in HSE hazards and incidents and raising improvement opportunities with the HSE Manager.
- Managing HSE incident reporting, notification, investigation and corrective action close out within the defined timeframes, including input of information into the company database.
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Appropriate Certificate, Diploma or Degree.
- Minimum 2 years’ HSE experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 HSE Management System development, implementation and maintenance.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in HSE incident investigation.
- Experience interacting with all levels of the business.
- Practical knowledge of the construction environment (or similar).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience and demonstrated ability in communication, presentation, report writing, investigation and audit skills.
- Sound skills in use of MS Office suite of products
