
Optics Engineer

- Support production operations by maintaining and improving optical systems
- Lead optics insourcing projects to enhance local manufacturing capabilities.
- Provide hands-on engineering support to recover and recalibrate test equipment during downtime.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electronic, software, and firmware engineers to integrate optical solutions.
- Contribute to NPI projects including optics manufacturing processes, fixture design and prototyping.
- Maintain and develop manufacturing databases for optical performance and test data.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Physics, Optics, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in optical engineering, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of spectroscopic techniques and applications.
- Experience with optical metrology, optomechanics, and optical design tools (e.g., raytracing, simulation, CAD).
- Familiarity with laser physics, light scattering, polarization, and detection schemes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
