
Senior Finance Analyst

- Supporting month-end activities that support the accurate reporting & analysis of the business performance and underlying operational expenditure. This includes journal preparation/review, variance analysis, trend analysis, vendor contract analysis, to provide insight on operational costs drivers and commercial activities as well as the preparation of month end packs for key stakeholders.
- OPEX and CAPEX governance processes, including purchase order process to ensure that accruals are up to date and tracked to ensure that spend is within budget estimates and contractual terms; working with project managers to ensure accurate recognition and forecasting of spend; attend and facilitate funding request approvals at various capital expenditure governance forums.
- Working with the Finance Manager & Senior Finance Manager & support the development of the annual budget, Rolling Forecast and Long-range plan working closely with stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to analysis financial and non-financial data, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations that contribute to business goals. Providing insights and supporting initiatives on optimising costs; assisting with the preparation of business cases for initiatives that require capital and operational resources & adhoc business analysis as required.
- Assisting the Technology team with their understanding of financial literacy and KPIs, including differences between management and statutory results; impacts of accounting of tax standards on financial results or commercial decisions. This includes liaison with the wider Finance team (Financial Control and Tax) to providing support, guidance, insights to facilitate financial management.
- Continually drive improvement in processes, reporting and analysis.
- Ensure there is effective and efficient communication between Finance and the business teams and act as a conduit between Finance & the business.
- Analytical skills for detailed insight analysis
- Preferably finance qualified with CPA/CIMA/CA/MBA or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and an independent thinker
- Strong Excel knowledge
