Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Company Accountant will take ownership of the day to day finance function for the group, delivering accurate reporting, compliance and financial control. This is a broad role ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy and business partnering across the organisation.Key duties include:
- Full ownership of month-end including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Preparation of BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax and statutory returns
- Weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting and management
- Payroll processing for the group including PAYG, superannuation and compliance
- Oversight of AP/AR and resolution of complex finance queries
- Preparation of management reporting packs with commentary for leadership
- Supporting external audit and annual statutory accounts process
You are a qualified accountant (CA or CPA) with proven experience in a medium to large business environment. You are hands-on, detail-oriented and capable of balancing compliance with commercial insights. You thrive in roles with variety and ownership, and you’re confident engaging stakeholders across all levels of the business. - CA or CPA qualification (or in progress)
- Experience as a Company Accountant or Financial Accountant in a medium/large business
- Strong technical knowledge across compliance, reporting and payroll
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable working 5 days onsite
