This could be the perfect opportunity for you to earn as you learn!Becoming an Apprentice with the City of Newcastle (CN) will provide you with the opportunity to combine on-the-job learning with structured training.This 4-year fixed-term contract is based within the Civil Construction and Maintenance Service Unit. You will gain exposure to learn an array of practical skills and knowledge across all elements of the Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade.As an Apprentice, you will work in conjunction with highly experienced Workshop Mechanics and Coordinators, focusing on a variety of activities across the civil works arena to develop operational skills and knowledge. Specifically, you will work closely with team members where you will provide maintenance and repairs to CN assets, particularly focusing on civil construction work.This apprenticeship is targeted at the employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
