Initially, you will support the successful implementation of the Dayforce HCMS platform by testing payroll configurations, validating parallel pay runs and ensuring compliance with awards and legislation. After go-live, you will focus on delivering accurate and timely fortnightly payroll processing, reporting and providing responsive support to employees and managers across Victoria.Your responsibilities
  • Support Dayforce implementation through system configuration, testing, and resolving discrepancies with HR, project teams and vendors.
  • Perform parallel payroll testing by comparing Dayforce with the current system and document outcomes.
  • Validate pay components including leave, superannuation, tax, deductions, and allowances; maintain variance logs.
  • Conduct Excel-based reconciliation and reporting.
  • Assist with go-live preparation, cutover planning, hypercare support and knowledge transfer.
  • Process accurate and timely fortnightly payrolls, including employee movements and payroll events within Dayforce.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate processing of timesheets, leave, and adjustments.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with PAYG, superannuation, FBT, long service leave, and assist with statutory reporting and Workers compensation.
  • Generate, reconcile and contribute to payroll reports and audits; support ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Provide responsive, professional support to employees and managers on payroll queries and procedures.
  • Identify and implement payroll process improvements post-Dayforce implementation, collaborating with Finance, IT, and HR.
About youYou will have experience with Dayforce or a similar HCMS/payroll system, demonstrated payroll expertise across multiple awards and strong analytical skills to support both implementation and ongoing payroll operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing in a complex, award-based environment, with strong knowledge of payroll legislation including PAYG, superannuation, workers compensation and FBT.
  • Proven experience supporting payroll system implementations or upgrades, including conducting parallel pay runs and resolving system configuration issues.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and formula-based reconciliations, with experience creating payroll test scenarios and validation reports.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage stakeholders across HR, Finance and IT.

  • Team-oriented approach with a strong customer service mindset, able to manage sensitive payroll queries with discretion.
