Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor, Projects to play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on complex capital works programs.Based in Melbourne or Brisbane and reporting to the Sourcing & Contracting Director, you will contribute to the development and execution of sourcing and contracting strategies across both bid and project mobilisation phases. This is a pivotal role that partners closely with project leadership, suppliers, and subcontractors to drive cost, schedule, and quality outcomes, while supporting Downer's long-term growth in the utilities sector.What You'll DoIn this role, you will:
- Lead procurement and contracting activities across bids, tenders, and project mobilisation phases.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost, risk, compliance, and value-for-money principles.
- Manage end-to-end procurement for complex, high-value packages including long-lead and international supply.
- Negotiate and finalise subcontracts, supporting seamless contract execution and handover.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

- Work with a Tier 1 ASX-listed company that delivers critical services across Australia and New Zealand, with in-house capabilities that extend beyond traditional contractor environments.
- 7+ years' experience in capital project procurement within the energy, infrastructure or resources sector (Tier 1 experience highly regarded).
- Proven success supporting bids and tenders and delivering procurement strategies in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian construction market and contract frameworks, with experience managing international supply.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management and influencing skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and confident in leading discussions with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
