We’re seeking a confident and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to take ownership of end-to-end payroll while also gaining valuable exposure to generalist HR. If you enjoy processing payroll with precision but are also curious about the HR space, this is a great step into a broader role, all within a supportive and values-led culture.About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your primary focus will be on delivering timely and accurate payroll for the organisation, with additional responsibilities across the wider People & Culture function. Your duties will include:
  • End-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis
  • Managing superannuation, terminations, ad hoc payments, and leave entitlements
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all payroll-related queries
  • Supporting payroll compliance, reconciliations, and internal reporting
  • Working closely with internal managers and external providers
  • Assisting with basic HR admin such as onboarding, employment contracts, and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting and maintaining the HRIS system (Zambion)
What We’re Looking For
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and Excel
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
  • Confidence navigating payroll or HR systems (experience with Zambion a bonus)
  • An interest in expanding your knowledge into HR within a supportive team
