- Supporting the development of policies, strategies, feasibility studies, investment decision frameworks and business cases for urban and regional planning initiatives, particularly in a public sector context.
- Building the firm's subject matter expertise in strategic urban and regional planning, urban economics, spatial analysis and/or place-based development.
- Being client facing, solving client problems, delivering proposals, and managing the delivery of projects.
- Supporting existing client relationships and building presence in the market at industry events.
- Building their subject matter expertise in urban planning and placemaking.
- Building a cohesive and delivery focused team, with growth and learning as a key focus for your team.
- Have experiences in the early phases of major urban planning, regional planning, placemaking or precinct conceptualisation and the necessary governance, investment and policy decision frameworks.
- Have the confidence with (or clearly demonstrate experiences supporting) the initial phases of place-based project and/or development opportunities with clients.
- Show a passion for solving client problems, identifying opportunities for further success and mitigating risks for their projects.
- Show a passion for facilitating better community outcomes through enhanced urban development and planning for great places, cities and regions.
- Be an active a thought leader (or the desire to be) in a range of strategic, technical, and business issues impacting our clients and markets.
- Delivery experiences in similar consulting, advisory or inhouse roles across urban or regional planning, precinct and placemaking or strategic social/health/hospital planning projects, locally or globally.
- Previous experience in project environments, across all stages from concept to delivery.
- The confidence to support client relationships and develop a presence at industry networking events.
- An ability to understand and contribute to the generation of new work opportunities.
- Strategic thinking skills and demonstrated experience in the economic, financial assessment, investment decisions and strategic planning of infrastructure projects.
- Tertiary qualifications, such as Urban/Town Planning, Geography, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Economics, Engineering or similar.
