THE DEPARTMENTAlfred Mental and Addiction Health provides specialist psychiatric clinical care to people with severe mental illness. The Program has a primary responsibility for residents of inner South-eastern metropolitan Melbourne but cares for all patients seeking its services.The position is based at Alma Rd Community Care Unit (ARCC) in St. Kilda. ARCC operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and provides a graduated model of residential rehabilitation for people with severe mental illness. The model is underpinned by interdisciplinary care and supported through a clinical case management model.THE ROLEThe role of the Senior Recovery Clinician, is based at Alma Road Community Care unit (ARCC) which forms Alfred Mental and Addiction Health's residential rehabilitation program. The Senior Recovery Clinician works the MDT to ensure that supported decision making principles of the Mental Health and Well Being Act (2022) are followed to ensure that consumers and their families or carers are actively involved in their care and treatment. The Senior Recovery Clinician oversees the transition of consumers from ARCC into community settings via identified pathways.REQUIREMENTS
  • Approved tertiary qualifications and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA or eligibility for membership wtih AASW
  • A current driver's licence is required to undertake this role
  • Australian working rights and full Covid-19 vaccination
  • Be willing to undergo a Background Check
