Job Category: RiskJob Description:What's the role?We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join us as the Head of Operational and Enterprise Risk. This critical role will drive thought leadership in the delivery of our strategic approach to Operational, Enterprise and Strategic Risk frameworks, policies, and aggregated reporting to support the Group CRO, Executive Committees and the Board to make informed risk decisions.You will lead a high-performing team and work closely with senior stakeholders to provide independent oversight, insights, and reporting on operational, enterprise and strategic risks.Key Responsibilities
  • Own and oversee the development, implementation, and governance of operational and enterprise risk frameworks, including the Risk Management Strategy, Risk Appetite Statement, and Risk Taxonomy to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
  • Run a program for effective management and oversight of a number of in-scope risk classes.
  • Provide independent risk oversight and insights to internal stakeholders on the implementation of processes and controls to support compliance with regulatory requirements and group minimum standards.
  • Oversee the operational management of in-scope Prudential Returns (e.g. ARS 115 ).
  • Represent Operational and Enterprise Risk in relevant committees and working groups.
  • Support regular Board and Executive reporting to ensure appropriate governance and escalation of Operational and Enterprise Risk issues and incidents.
  • Support regulatory inquiries and investigations, ensuring timely and adequate responses.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture, attract, retain and develop top talent.
What do I need?
  • Proven experience in operational and enterprise risk leadership within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Understanding of APRA prudential standards and risk capital methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and embed a strong risk culture.
  • Experience managing regulatory interactions and complex risk reporting.
