- Lead the continued development and daily operation of the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS), including SOPs, registers, and compliance documentation.
- Review, update, and maintain RVG OH&S policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legislation and best practice.
- Oversee hazard and incident reporting processes, supporting the identification and implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics including incidents, near misses, LTIs, and audit outcomes.
- Coordinate and support safety committees and HSR forums, ensuring effective consultation and communication.
- Support emergency management processes such as fire drills and evacuations.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver health and safety training to RVG employees.
- Build strong relationships across business units and the wider industry to promote engagement and accountability in safety practices.
- Support managers in understanding and complying with their OH&S responsibilities.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within a complex or high-risk environment.
- Knowledge of OH&S legislation, compliance, and management systems.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating safety committees, training, and emergency procedures.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare reports on safety performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
