This permanent, full-time role as a Clinical Manager for our Adult Day Oncology Unit is your chance to advance your career, drive clinical excellence, and make a significant impact on patient care.DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESAs a Nursing Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management;
  • Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based;
  • Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment;
  • Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team;
  • Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources;
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required;
  • Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in an Acute Oncology or Day Infusion setting;
  • Demonstrated management experience;
  • Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach;
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders;
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management;
  • Understand the requirements of private health funding;
  • Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills, including advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care;
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases;
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment;
  • Hold EVI-Q credentialing for chemotherapy administration (desirable);
  • Tertiary postgraduate qualifications in a relevant Nursing specialty (desirable);
  • Tertiary postgraduate qualifications in management (or working towards) (desirable).

REMUNERATIONA salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing market, starting from $62.46 per hour.ABOUT THE FACILITYSituated in Southern Sydney, the hospital boasts 168 overnight beds. It is renowned for its expertise in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopedics, maternity, and pediatrics.
