We are partnering one of Australia’s leading resources companies, to secure the services of an experienced Large Projects Planner to be deployed on one of their mine sites based in Western Australia’s South West. This would suit someone who lives between South of Perth and North of Bunbury.
The key requirement of the role is to provide specialist advice and executes tasks in the development and monitoring of plans and schedule baselines, activity completion, identification of trends and corrective/preventative actions to influence on-time delivery of the project’s objectives.
This assignment will initially cover a period of 12 months, on a Monday – Friday roster.To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

Experience in an owner's team preferred, with the ability to challenge contractor schedules and manage multiple packages concurrently
5+ years experience in a planning position in particular with involvement in large scale mining Capital Works projects
Experience in planning studies/development phase projects ideally
Be confident, assertive with excellent communication skills

Ideal candidates must also hold the following prerequisites:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with planning experience spanning structural and civil disciplines within the minerals resources sector
P6 experience essential
Previous experience gained in a similar role on the client side
Industry experience in mining is preferred
Provision of a current Drivers License and Australian working rights
