- Design, install, configure, and upgrade in-store infrastructure including servers, devices, applications, and security systems. Platforms in use are Linux (Debian), Kubernetes, KVM based hypervisors, Windows based POS, Win11 VMs (2000+ systems)
- Own the administration of Linux and Windows Server environments: this includes design, deploy, manage, config & update management.
- Implement and utilise existing and new tooling to perform update and config management of all in-store platforms.
- Provide Level 3 technical support for the Infrastructure and act as the escalation point for technical issues. Leverage existing support agreements to resolve incidents.
- Manage end-user services including Active Directory, Office 365, BarTender, and Office 365. Utilise ManageEngine to deploy updates, software and patching.
- Lead patching and lifecycle management for both Windows and Linux-based systems to ensure platform health and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, Cybersecurity, and cross-functional
- engineering teams to align on best practices and achieve shared OKRs.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to service level agreements, governance and operational standards.
- Provide management assistance for the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environment.
- Own the squads Observability program & platform (based on Dynatrace)
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to tune and optimise Azure cloud services including VNets, NSGs, and automation through CI/CD pipelines.
- Foster a performance-driven culture, promoting accountability and inclusivity across technical delivery teams.
- Proven experience in PoS system infrastructure, cloud environments, and enterprise IT operations.
- Virtualisation knowledge and experience
- Strong expertise in Linux and Windows system administration, automation and configuration management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of desktop platforms and desktop management
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
