About the Role Hudson is partnering with a leading Australian retail organisation and they are embarking on a major 2-year digital transformation program. We are seeking a Digital Architect with strong loyalty experience experience to shape and deliver modern, scalable digital solutions.You will play a crucial role in contributing to the digital architecture with a focus on headless and microservices-based solutions, ensuring the decoupling of front-end and back-end systems. Working closely with tech leads, DevOps, and external vendors, you will provide hands-on architectural contributions, guide technical decisions, and balance trade-offs to achieve business and technical outcomes.You’ll join a tight-knit, collaborative architecture team that values open communication and a growth mindset. The culture encourages sharing ideas, exploring new approaches, and collectively driving the best outcomes for the organisation.This role is Melbourne-based, 6months contract assignment to begin with high possibility for extension.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performing digital architectures.
  • Drive adoption of headless architecture and microservices patterns across eCommerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate architectural options, considering performance, cost, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide guidance and oversight during solution implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and best practices.
About The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in Loyalty space.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in technical architecture, particularly with AWS services and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of headless architecture and experience in decoupling front-end and back-end systems.
  • Deep understanding of microservice architecture and its large-scale implementation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business outcomes.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcome-focused approach.
