About the roleFinding better ways™ to provide the materials the world needsWe are looking for Supervisor Mobile Equipment Maintenance to lead the planning and safe execution of mobile equipment across our Pilbara sites .With signature leadership training programmes, growing and developing is more than an opportunity – it is something we actively plan and make happen. Every day our leaders grow, while our rosters are designed to help you live the lifestyle that is right for you and your family.Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Equipment Maintenance, you will:
  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices, and processes
  • Providing safety and technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to your team of trade and non-trade personnel, understanding their strengths in work to ensure that safety is first and that the correct work is completed
  • Allocating and coordinating planned maintenance activities using the Rio Tinto workflow management principles
  • Prioritising and managing breakdowns with the mine production team
  • Driving continuous improvement projects circulating around cost saving and production efficiency
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Maintenance personnel
  • Organise and manage the execution of Maintenance work
  • Manage Maintenance activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact
What you’ll bring
  • Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members and contractor management experience
  • In depth knowledge of large-scale earthmoving equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of maintenance plans and schedules and budgets
  • An understanding of the work management process and principles
  • Exposure/experience working within an AHS worksite (desirable)
  • Experience working with Komatsu, Hitachi and Caterpillar equipment (desirable)
  • A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)
  • Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor (desirable)
