In everything we do, we take an approach to protect, grow and innovate WA’s economy, community and environment.About the opportunityWe currently have the following fixed term positions with the possibility of extension and/or permanency available for immediate filling:One (1) Level 5 Project Officer until May 2028One (1) Level 6 Senior Project Officer until June 2026These roles will support fisheries enhancement projects within the Aquatic Resource Management Branch. It is anticipated additional positions may arise in the next 12 months.As a Level 5 Project Officer, you will conduct research, develop project plans and reports, manage budgets, and foster effective stakeholder relationships. To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in project management with the ability to deliver outcomes within specified timelines, well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, and experience with government procurement and finance processes. An understanding of fisheries or natural resource management will be highly regarded.As a Level 6 Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating a range of complex projects. Your role will involve conducting research, developing and reviewing project plans, reports and briefings, managing budgets, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. To be successful, you will bring extensive experience in managing complex projects and delivering outcomes within set timeframes, highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, and expertise in government procurement, finance processes and grants management.
