- To draft, review and negotiate procurement contracts based on both internal and supplier templates (including supplier contractual correspondence, review of customer contracts for procurement purposes, scope of works, variations, deed of novation's, contract renewals and extensions, non-conformance notices, general contractual correspondence etc).
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks in favour of Civeo terms and conditions, including notifying the relevant project stakeholders of any options and/or impact to operations.
- Provide advice and acts as the primary escalation point on issues and/or concerns which are not solved satisfactorily by the procurement team in a timely manner (e.g. via undefined or not adequately detailed scope of works, pricing discrepancies, KPI's etc).
- Act as the primary contact between the procurement team and/or business units and the legal department, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly prior to any legal review and sign-off.
- Ability to draft detailed contractual execution memorandums (highlighting negotiation outcomes, contractual concerns, and issues) for signature by Civeo's Leadership team (as determined by the Delegation of Authority).
- Ability to understand both commercial and general legal risks, terminology, and principles (preferably within the procurement sector) and provide advice and direction to ensure alignment with Civeo's commercial, legal, and ethical position.
- Maintain the contract register and provide strong contract administration support.
- Preform any other tasks in relation to supplier, contractor or contract administration duties as required by Civeo from time to time.
- Ensure all health, safety, quality and environmental standards and legislation are strictly met, ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, contractors, and visitors, and promptly reporting any issues, potential issues or near miss events
- A university degree in business, law, or commerce.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience working within the Procurement or Legal Industry
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a procurement/commercial contract-related environment
