
Area Sales Manager

- Develop and maintain relationships with key mining clients and stakeholders across WA.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth across northern WA mining sites.
- Provide tailored technical product knowledge and support to mining operations.
- Conduct regular site visits, product demonstrations, and client training sessions.
- Build quality business relationships with new and existing accounts.
- Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors, resellers and agents
- Identify high-potential existing customers and develop strategies for growth.
- Complete structured sales planning and reporting.
- Utilize strategies to win new business on a continuous and consistent basis.
- Engage in consultative selling by identifying customer needs and presenting tailored Portwest solutions.
- Prepare clear and effective written proposals and quotations.
- Drive sales of new Portwest products through sample-led discussions.
- Ensure timely follow-up to close sales and ensure client satisfaction.
- Conduct ongoing market intelligence and competitor analysis.
- Represent Portwest at trade shows, seminars, exhibitions, and other industry events.
- Promote distributor campaigns and initiatives to end users.
- Proven experience in industrial sales, ideally in workwear and/or safety.
- Demonstrated success in selling to mining, infrastructure, or rail sectors.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers at all levels.
- Comfortable travelling regularly, including to remote sites.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for new business development.
- Existing relationships within the WA mining industry highly regarded.
