Leading HSE across multiple construction, remediation, defence and façade sites Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing national contractor. Will be overseeing multiple concurrent projects and reporting the HSE Lead. Our client is a well-established and market leading national contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated HSE Advisor to join their growing business. Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects. Types of projects include new build, refurb, fit-out, façade and remedial projects across defence and industrial type of projects. Mostly working on buildings but may be some associated civil projects. Typical project values from smaller to $15m but can be larger. As HSE Advisor, you will be involved in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety management are carried out across all construction sites. The successful candidate will report into the HSEQ State Lead as well as working with the site-based Project Managers and management staff. Will be responsible for providing HSEQ compliance, management plans and procedures and will be stepping into a well-established safety team Responsibilities: Assist project teams in the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation Coach, advise and educate site personnel of legislative requirements & changes to comply with company procedures Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions as per company procedures Assist management to encourage a healthy safe and environmentally responsible working culture amongst personnel Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits, Coach site teams on effective delivery of pre-start meetings and Toolbox meetings Coordinate HESQ training programs including the maintenance of competency standards Actively analyse HSEQ performance, reporting, system updates Maintain the company Integrated Management System to an accredited level Compile project specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids as needed Qualifications and Requirements: Ideally a Cert IV in Health & Safety or a Diploma 3 to 5 years’ experience with background in working in construction health & safety Ability to thrive in high pressure, fast paced environment Well-developed interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in the creation and reviewing of Management Plans, SWMS, JHA’s and conducting Audits Understanding of Quality Management processes This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
