With global functions and a strong WA presence this role offers fantastic exposure and autonomy in the role.Job DescriptionAs the IR expert, this role leads enterprise bargaining, ensuring strategic planning, negotiation, and implementation of agreements while maintaining compliance with industrial legislation. Working as part of the HR function, the role advises on regulatory matters, and fostering strong workforce relationships with both onshore and offshore employees.Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement industrial relations strategies in line with organisational goals.
  • Provide expert advice on employment legislation and industrial relations matters.
  • Negotiate enterprise agreements and manage workplace consultations effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industrial laws and regulations.
  • Handle disputes and grievances with a focus on resolution and prevention.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with unions and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on industrial relations activities and outcomes.
  • Support the HR team in broader organisational initiatives as required.
The Successful ApplicantTo be successful in this role you should have:
  • A strong background in industrial relations
  • A solid understanding of Australian employment law and industrial relations frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage enterprise bargaining processes and workplace consultations
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
