We offer a supportive work culture and the opportunity to grow with a respected name in Brisbane's Indian dining scene.Job Description:We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine and a passion for cooking authentic dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of Punjab.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including tandoori, curries and vegetarian items
- Ensure food is consistently prepared and presented to the restaurants standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation areas
- Follow safe food handling and kitchen procedures
- Assist in creating and refining menu items
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff as needed
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
- Proven experience as a Cook, ideally in an Indian restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian spices and cooking methods
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Valid food handling and hygiene certification
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
