Salary: Up to $210K (inc super), depending on experienceAbout the Role:
As an AWS Cloud Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across environments. You’ll work closely with DevOps, engineering, and business teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support ongoing cloud operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AWS cloud environments
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure performance and availability
- Assist in cloud migration activities and post-migration optimisation
- Implement and manage cloud security controls and compliance standards
- Automate routine tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and improve system reliability
- Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Required)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (Preferred)
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty (Preferred)
- Previous experience in cloud support or engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, etc.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
- Scripting & Automation: Bash, Python, PowerShell, Terraform
- Operating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, RHEL), Windows Server
- Networking: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, NAT Gateway, Direct Connect
- Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, X-Ray
- Security & Compliance: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, AWS Organisations, SCPs
- DevOps & CI/CD: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions
