Overview:Full-timeFixed Term position until 31st December 2026Salary Professional HEW 7 $103,603 - $112,144 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working ArrangementsBased at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of workingThe Modern Workplace Engineer is responsible for supporting and enhancing RMIT’s Windows Managed Operating Environment (MOE), including Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, Citrix DaaS and related platforms. Working within the End User Technology team, you will provide both operational and project delivery support across the University’s global environment.The role contributes to improving user adoption, implementing security and compliance measures, automating tasks, and ensuring the University gains maximum value from its Microsoft technology investment. As part of a 24x7 on-call roster, you will collaborate with engineers across multiple teams and locations to maintain reliable and secure services for staff, students and associates.About YouYou are an experienced IT professional with strong technical skills in Microsoft’s Modern Workplace services . With at least three years’ experience in enterprise environments, you bring expertise in managing MOE platforms, identifying and implementing technical improvements, and supporting large-scale service rollouts. You are confident developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts, applying ITIL service management processes, and working in Agile environments.Known for your problem-solving ability and customer service focus, you build positive relationships with stakeholders and can communicate technical concepts clearly.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About the PortfolioThe Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables overall experience for both groups.
