About the Role:As a senior member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data strategy, driving architecture decisions, and delivering impactful solutions for our customers. You'll work closely with clients to understand their challenges, lead solution design sessions, and ensure the successful delivery of cutting-edge data platforms.This role requires someone who is not only an expert in data engineering but also experienced in dbt, data modelling, and DataOps. You will be responsible for building scalable, performant data pipelines, establishing technical standards, and mentoring junior engineers. As a senior leader, you’ll work collaboratively with both internal teams and clients, ensuring that the solutions we build meet high-quality standards and deliver measurable business value.What Your Day Will Look Like:

Advising clients on data challenges and designing tailored data solutions to meet their business needs.
Leading and facilitating solution design sessions, contributing to high-level architecture and data platform decisions.
Building and optimising data pipelines with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Utilising dbt to develop robust data models and transform data at scale.
Implementing DataOps frameworks with automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline deployments through DevOps.
Setting technical standards and best practices for data engineering, ensuring consistency across customer engagements.
Providing hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to both internal teams and clients.
Collaborating with marketing to create external-facing content, including reports, blogs, and thought leadership pieces.
Sharing knowledge and insights through public speaking, meetups, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong track record of delivering scalable and reliable data solutions.
Hands-on experience with Azure and Snowflake, including building and managing cloud-based data platforms and pipelines.
Advanced proficiency in dbt and data modelling, with a solid understanding of best practices for designing clean, scalable, and maintainable models.
Practical experience with Airflow for orchestrating data workflows and pipelines.
Familiarity with Informatica (where ingesting from legacy or source systems) and understanding of various ingestion patterns.
Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform, to automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure.
Deep understanding of modern data architectures and methodologies including ELT, Data Lakes, and Data Warehousing.
Strong foundation in data engineering, with exposure to data science, machine learning, and AI concepts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
A passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and fostering technical excellence within teams.
