Your ImpactWe are looking for a motivated and skilled Data Engineer to help enhance data access, build reusable assets, and support key business initiatives - particularly the Group Finance Output Simplification project aimed at standardising financial reporting across divisions. Play a pivotal role in driving enterprise-wide data transformation. We are expanding our data capabilities through the implementation of the Denodo Data Virtualisation platform.This is a 12-month fixed term contract roleAbout the Role

Build enterprise-wide, reusable data assets using the Denodo Data Virtualisation platform.
Design and develop connections and data pipelines across multiple source systems.
Collaborate with architects and project teams to align solutions with enterprise standards and strategy.
Conduct data model testing and ensure performance through load testing.
Document technical requirements and provide hands-on support throughout project delivery.
Support business transition and train end-users and BAU teams post-implementation.

About You

Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field
Solid experience in enterprise data modeling, ETL design and data analysis
Strong SQL expertise, knowledge of relational and analytical databases, JDBC, XML, Web Services APIs, and experience with Power BI and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Hands-on experience with data flows, virtual data models, caching strategies, and preferably Denodo; integration with ERP and BI tools like SAP, Oracle, and Dynamics.
Experience with modern development practices using Azure DevOps or Git for versioning, CI/CD, and deployments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and work effectively across diverse teams.
