We’re ready to help you do it.The Purpose:As the Senior Product Manager, ISO20022 reporting to the Lead Product Manager in AP+ Business Payments team, this role is responsible for product management of ISO20022 Messaging Standards and designing messaging capability for the product suite managed by the AP+ Business Payments team (which covers our BPAY product suite and real-time payments on the New Payments Platform).The role will deliver support for key projects and strategic initiatives focused on future business payment products, capability development and enhancements across the Business Payments portfolio. The role will focus on supporting existing account to account payments products as well as extending product capabilities to support corporate B2B Payments more broadly and includes integration of Business Payments products with other AP+ products and capabilities.The role requires engagement with external stakeholders including AP+ Customers, member institutions, Industry ISO Standards groups and vendor organisations as required. This will include driving ISO message standards changes, responsibility for delivery timelines and supporting industry implementation. This role requires management and leadership of key external stakeholders including Industry Committees, standards organisations and Industry groups. This role works closely with NPP Participants including the management of scheme related changes through the scheme governance processes and committees.This role works closely with other members of the Business Payments team as well as with other parts of the AP+ organisation.The senior product manager will be expected to lead all ISO20022 Message upgrade initiatives including changes introduced through other Product enhancements, engage the vendor and publish the updated message versions for Participants implementation.The core accountabilities of the role will include:
  • Development and delivery of ISO20022 Message version upgrades and/or changes for all NPP Releases including gathering product requirements, liaising with vendors, working closely with key stakeholders including extended parties of the payments ecosystem such as other industry groups.
  • Working with all Product Managers, Technology and Testing team to define the change scope and approach, assessing the impact of a Product change on the messages and helping the team understand the impact of change and key benefits
  • Representing AP+ in other messaging standards industry forum
  • Leading discussions in working groups represented by NPP Members
  • Looking for process efficiencies and working with key stakeholders to ensure potential blockers to delivery are removed
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Lead Product Manager or delegated representative
  • When required, lead a team of product managers and analysts
  • Act as a mentor within the broader team
  • Fostering an environment where team members feel valued, motivated and empowered
The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are:
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent
  • Proven experience in account-to-account products or services specifically New Payments Platform (NPP Payments)
  • Strong experience in ISO20022 messaging standards
  • Proven strong ability to converse with a range of stakeholders including end-users at all levels of the organisation
  • Proven examples of leading changes to messaging standards
  • Understanding of Payments industry and NPP products desirable
