- Design and develop electrical systems from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to meet project objectives.
- Prepare estimates and provide technical design support during tender processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and support internal systems development
- Primary Substation Design: Layout for Air-Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations
- High Voltage Equipment Knowledge: Design and operation of transformers, circuit breakers, cables, disconnectors/earth switches, surge arresters. Includes transformer specification, maintenance and testing, as well as cable testing and monitoring.
- HV competence, including primary systems
- Cable sizing
- Understanding and experience with Earthing systems and earth grid designs
- Understanding and experience with Lighting systems and Lightning protection
- CPEng and RPEQ or working towards
- Leadership, mentor junior engineers, problem solving ability
- Design of electrical systems
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication abilities.
- Experience: Proficiency in tools/software for design
