Based in Melbourne, you will be part of our respected People and Culture team, who are front and centre of Beca's 5-year Australian growth strategy.The OpportunityYou have preferably at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience within a People & Culture team in a large corporate entity or relevant work experience. You should have a strong understanding of Australian employment legislation. Ideally, you love to learn and share knowledge and are someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You will bring a positive, can-do attitude, passionate about creating and building connections across all levels of the organisation. delivering professional, timely service is important to you. You love to get involved and support the team, actively contributing to our culture and displaying our company values.In this role, you will provide professional and accurate People & Culture advice across a range of generalist activities, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and adherence to Beca policies in Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for creating employment documentation, from Letters of Employment to Employment variations, and providing backup support for our other People & Culture Coordinators during peak times, supporting with employment documentation generation and correspondence. You will promote learning and the sharing of knowledge and information across our People Advice team, support the delivery of People & Culture related projects on time and within budget, and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements. Additionally, you will network and actively participate with industry and professional bodies, keeping up to date with legislative developments and maintaining HR knowledge and best practices.As a team, we rally together for support and understand that problems are best overcome together - we are also able to have fun and a good laugh along the way.This role is for a 12 month fixed term.About YouYou have a “can do” attitude, tenacity, and don't shy away from tricky conversations, having gained your experience in a HR Coordinator or similar HR Advisor role. You are a practical and logical person who thrives on working 'in the grey', with solid working knowledge AU Awards, Employment legislation & the Fair Work Act.
