Remuneration: AHP1 ($68,478 - $83,594) / AHP2 (88,255 - $102,240) + 12% SuperRole DetailsLooking for a role which enables you to have a positive impact on the lives of our most vulnerable children?The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Social Worker or a Senior Social Worker to provide an essential social work service to our office in Hindmarsh on a full-time term basis.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct investigations and assessments in a child-centred manner, focused on the safety of the child and on the support of the parent/family.
- Support children in out-of-home care to reconnect with their birth families, strengthen relationships and achieve reunification.
- Collaborate with various specialists to develop and implement clinical interventions for children and their families across diverse settings.
- Participate in regular visits to homes within the central region to support parents in developing appropriate parenting skills.
- Support families who are unable to effectively and safely care for their children and work towards a safe reunification.
- Knowledge and understanding of children and young people, particularly in regard to developmental stages, vulnerability and resilience.
- Ability to manage workloads, timeframes, organise and plan work activities whilst prioritising tasks and responsibilities.
- Expertise in delivering clear, concise written and verbal reports that are informative and based on an analysis of evidence gathered.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
