You’ll work with families facing complex challenges, supporting children and young people aged 0–18 across the Northern Sydney region.This is a dynamic opportunity to grow your leadership skills, mentor social work students, and contribute to a values-driven team making a real difference in the community.This is a permanent full-time position, with flexibility for applicants seeking part-time hours (4 days per week). You can choose to work from one of our offices in Waitara, Artarmon, or Brookvale.We welcome applications from qualified and experienced caseworkers who hold a valid working visa.What You’ll Do
  • Deliver trauma-informed case management and early intervention support to families.
  • Supervise and mentor two social work students.
  • Conduct needs-based assessments and develop tailored case plans.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with internal and external services.
  • Advocate for clients across housing, legal, and welfare systems.
  • Provide outreach support and maintain accurate case documentation.
  • Respond effectively to crisis situations and mitigate risk.
To Be Successful, You’ll Have
  • A degree in Social Work (essential).
  • 3–4+ years’ experience in casework.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring Social Work students (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of trauma, mental health, AOD, and DV issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a fully insured vehicle.
